History

The Iron Crew Motorcycle Club was founded on October 1st, 2000. Four fellow New York Law Enforcement Officers took the Port Jefferson Ferry across the Long Island Sound and attended a “Super Sunday” event at Marcus Dairy in Danbury Connecticut. The experience of riding in formation and hanging with each other sparked an idea in each of us.

On the return ferry ride we discussed joining a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. We gave serious consideration to the existing Clubs but felt that forming our own Club would better suit our objectives.

Pappy was nominated and unanimously elected as President. He's been the driving force behind the IRON CREW MC ever since. After numerous meetings we decided on our Name and Center Patch design. We commissioned an artist and graphic designer to transfer our Center Patch design concept into reality. A local embroiderer was commissioned to make all of our Patches. All stitching is done by hand and the quality is second to none.

Patent and Trademark applications were filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, D.C. in January of 2001 for both our Name and Center Patch design. Our vests are custom made by a local leather shop.

In January of 2004 the United States Patent and Trademark Office granted the IRON CREW Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Trademark Registration for both our Name and Center Patch Design.
